Originally from Mirecourt, Charles J.B. Collin-Mézin established himself in Paris and became one of the leading French makers of the 19th century.

This French cello is a good example of the Italian and French copies made in the Collin-Mezin workshop under the Storini brand in the first quarter of the 20th century.

It bears a "Storini" label numbered 428 and has an accompanying matching certificate numbered 428. It is a good example of the Italian and French copies made in the Collin-Mezin workshop at that time, under the Storini brand.”
